The Sree Rama Anjaneya Swamy Temple Seva Samithi Trust was founded with a vision to create a sacred space dedicated to Lord Sri Rama and Lord Anjaneya, where devotion, service, and tradition come together. What began as a humble initiative by a group of dedicated devotees has now grown into a mission that is touching countless lives.
The Beginning
The inspiration to build the temple came from the collective prayers of devotees who wished to establish a center of worship, cultural learning, and community service. With the blessings of the Divine and the guidance of spiritual well-wishers, the trust was registered under the Indian Trust Act, paving the way for organized efforts towards this noble cause.
A Legacy of Devotion
The foundation of this temple project traces back to Samaja Sevakaru Pragathi Patel Sampangi Ramaiah, who in the year 1908 constructed a temple at Jallipeta Village, Chittoor. The temple land measured 32’ × 32’ (1024 sq.ft.) and stood as a place of worship for more than a century. Built with lime and mud, the temple eventually aged, but its spiritual energy remained intact, inspiring the present generation to rebuild and expand upon this divine vision.
Continuing his footsteps, his grandson Sri J.V. Vasudeva Rao alias Vasudevulu (Dharmakartha), along with the temple committee, has been instrumental in leading the reconstruction efforts. In the year 2000, a Garbhagudi was built and the idol of Sree Rama Devaru was installed, with pooja being performed regularly.
